Brief: This client required an Architect for their residential open plan living project in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.  They wished to replace their existing conservatory with a garden room that not only gave them an additional sitting room, but also retained the visual and physical link to the garden whilst improving the thermal properties of the space.  An all too familiar scenario; although the client's conservatory provided them with additional space, the lack of insulation and poorly performing glass meant the space was only useful on a handful of days each year. The client wanted to replace the conservatory with a room they could use all year round.
